DICRO - DECO

Aluminum body, powder coated in black or white with liquid filled cell (side or back lit) and 3 diopter magnifying lens. 2 mirror six point system which you may choose to make or choose to have Tom assemble for you. You will embellish the mirror system yourself. You will choose the scope body and adorn it with dichroic mosaic in your choice of colors and patterns. You will design and make your own liquid filled cell with dichroic pieces, beads, glass and wire art. They will sparkle and each will be completely different. The scope is 7" X 2".

SQUARE ENAMEL HANDHELD

Class will construct an 8-1/2" square enamel kaleidoscope with two fused glass wheels. The students will build and fuse their own wheels for their scope using clear glass disks, glass frit, lampworked glass pieces, glass stringers and dichroic glass pieces. They will learn to construct and tape a four mirror system. They will then assemble the parts to the body of the scope and insert the mirror system. The students will come back to class in the late afternoon to assemble the wheels and attach them to their kaleidoscope. Scopes come with black wooden stand. All materials are provided and students need no prior experience.
